Raspberry Lemonade Champagne Sangria
I know we’ve been posting a lot of cocktails lately but it’s been hot and we’ve been thirsty.

This cocktail is so light and refreshing you’ll crave it all Summer long.  The citrus and raspberries are just the right balance between sweet and tart.  Use a good, dry bottle of champagne, prosecco or cava and avoid anything too cloying since the Triple Sec will already add a lot of sweetness.  The sparkling wine scale from sweetest to driest is Spumante, Dry, Extra Dry, Brut so you’ll want a bottle of the Brut. If you prefer a touch more sweetness, add a spoonful or two of sugar.

Every Summer Brad seems  a little ambivalent when I tell him I’m making this sangria. Then, as soon as he’s 2 sips into his first glass, he starts gushing about how we have to make it more often.  Those are my favorite kind of recipes.

Variations I love include adding an orange or swapping Limoncello for Triple Sec.  Let me know if you put another spin on it!

Can you substitute anything for the wine? My family does not drink alcohol.
